Research grants

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Foundation grants funding for local health and medical research to improve the health and wellbeing of Tasmanians. This funding supports research into chronic diseases, maternal and infant health, aged care and the social determinants of health.

2025 Grant Round

The Foundation will be awarding $600,000 in grant funding in 2025 to support Incubator pilot studies, Project grants and a three-year major research study. Applications open on Monday 3 June and close on Friday 12 July 2024.

Incubator grants up to $10,000 each

This funding supports one-year investigations to allow researchers to develop a new idea, create a pilot study or an opportunity to gather empirical evidence.

In addition to the Foundation's general funding pool, targeted Incubator grant funding is offered for research into improving the lives of those diagnosed with primary brain cancer.
