2025 Grants Open Now

The Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation is excited to announce the opening of its 2025 grants round, offering over $600,000 in funding for health and medical research. This significant investment aims to support innovative research that will improve the health outcomes of Tasmanians.

The grants available include:

  • Incubator Grants: Up to $10,000 to fund a one-year investigation aimed at developing a new idea or providing seed funding for a pilot study.
  • Project Grants: Up to $25,000 to support a one-year investigation that either builds on previous Incubator grant success or warrants a higher level of investment based on strong preliminary evidence.
  • Major Project Grant: Up to $450,000 over three years to support an early to mid-career researcher and their team in delivering a major research project. This grant covers salary, consumables, and additional research staff. With guidance from a senior mentor and a broader research team, this grant aims to foster collaborative teams and research leadership.

"We are committed to advancing health and medical research in Tasmania," said John Stubley, Interim CEO. "Our grants program is designed to empower researchers at all stages of their careers and support projects that have the potential to make a significant impact on community health."
