Cancer research

Chances are that you or someone you know has been affected by cancer. In Australia, one in two men and one in three women will face a cancer diagnosis by the time they’re 85. It’s also a leading cause of death both nationally and here in Tasmania.

There are many different forms of cancer, and the Foundation is committed to funding crucial research across in this space. Over the years we have proudly funded research into the early detection, diagnostics, and new treatments for this disease. Researchers like Professor Jo Dickinson and Dr Kelsie Raspin are finding new ways to deliver targeted treatments to men with prostate cancer, while Professor Andrew Palmer is examining new ways to screen for lung cancer. These are just a few examples of the endeavours our researchers are undertaking to propel us closer to minimising the impact of this disease.

Today, we encourage you to give generously to ensure the Foundation can continue funding cancer research and forging a path towards a future free from the shadow of this disease. Your donation could be the key to unlocking a brighter, healthier tomorrow. Please join us in making a difference by donating now.
