Your solicitor is the best person to advise you when you are preparing or amending your Will, and we encourage you to seek independent legal advice regarding your intentions to leave a bequest to the Foundation.
If you would like to leave a gift in your Will to the Foundation, you can find the suggested wording below:
“I give to the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation Incorporated (ABN 32 255 262 915), Hobart, Tasmania (insert one of the following):
a. the residue of my Estate, OR
b. (insert full amount)% of my Estate, OR
c. the sum of $(insert amount), OR
d. my specified assets of (insert the assets), OR
e. in the event that any of my nominated beneficiaries predecease me then their bequest shall not fail but I bequeath the share of the deceased beneficiary to the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation, for its general purposes and the receipt of the Chief Executive Officer or other authorised officer at the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the executor(s).”
